Reading Bowl Team

Reading Bowl is a team competition to promote the Georgia Peach Book Award Nominees – the 20 best books for teens for the last year. Everyone is invited to be part of the Reading Bowl Club and a group of 10 will be selected to participate in the Reading Bowl where we compete against other high schools.

When will we meet? This is still to be determined. Reading Bowl typically meets twice a month September through December and more frequently as we prepare for the competition in January. Hopefully one or both activity can be during B2.

What is the competition like? We will take a group of 10 students to the competition. Each round consists of 5 students answering questions from the books on the list. There will be buzzers and a judge for each round. It is LOADS of fun!

What is expected for Reading Bowl? Team members are expected to read at least 5 books from the GA Peach Award List, write questions about each book and participate in meetings & competitions.

Please join the Reading Bowl Remind by texting @24bearsrb to 81010.

Our first meeting will be Tuesday, August 27, 3:30 - 4:00 PM in the Media Center.
